Dare to Care

I had the wonderful opportunity again to work with Dare to Care in Louisville on a beautiful Friday afternoon. There isn’t much more that keeps my gratitude in check than photographing one of DTC’s many mobile food pantries and listening to the stories of those who explain to me what setbacks and circumstances brought them there. One particular gentleman told me that he had successful owned and operated a grocery store for 44 years, but when land where his store was located was purchased to expand the airport, he lost his store, and then eventually his home and everything he owned. It is stories like his that drive home the importance of funding organizations like Dare to Care in our communities that help feed and support the lives of those never expected to see themselves in situations like they are in. Because it can happen to anyone.

Even you.
