I’ve been a little quiet lately. This has been a busy winter as far as work goes – busier than the norm for winter, anyway – but these last few weeks have been quiet. I’ve had a little break in photographing the abundance of newborns blooming in our community, a break that will come to an end in the next few weeks with the arrival of some new babies set to arrive soon on my calendar. In these last few weeks, I’ve been trying to get ready for Spring. Mentally, I was ready on January 1st, but as we well know, Mother Nature has laughed heartily at our desire for Spring. Nevertheless, I’ve been Spring cleaning and purging and weeding out my girls’ closets and drawers, trying to determine what we need to buy to get ready for a new season. I’ve discovered what we need: Everything. Even though my oldest daughter is nearing age 16, she is still growing taller by the week. I thought she would stop at 5′ 10″, but am beginning to think she may hit 6′ after all. This is what I get for marrying a really tall guy.
I met this sweet family for the first time last year, when Mom was at the very beginning of her second pregnancy. So it was wonderful to see them again once their new baby girl arrived. They now have two daughters, just like myself, so I have a special place in my heart for them as I begin to watch their daughters grow (probably not to 6′ though!). I especially loved all of the beautiful blankets and items that Grandma crocheted! Check out the little pea pod wrap below! How adorable is that? These two lucky little girls are so loved and cherished. Just the way it should be.
