The Girls

My oldest, Sydney, was almost 6-years-old when we had our second daughter, Molly. We had virtually nothing left of Syd’s baby items…the crib had been recalled by the manufacturer (not that she ever slept in it anyway), the changing table had broken, the swing was long gone, the boxes of baby clothes had gone through two moves and were too big for Molly who was a much tinier version of her older sister at birth. So much had changed, too. New, better diapers, new easier-to-push strollers, better bottles, fancier bouncy seats. It was amazing how much had changed in six years. It was like starting all over again.

These two sisters have eleven, almost twelve years between them.  Mom and Dad are truly starting all over again, but this time they have a third hand to help with the baby. Except for changing diapers. Big sister doesn’t do diapers. We’ll see how long that lasts. 😉
