“Just one photo,” she said. “My goal is to get one photo of all of us in the same picture. We don’t even all have to be looking at the camera. I just want to see if I can get us all in one picture.”
I don’t typically do multi-family shoots. I’m only one photographer with no assistant and it really helps to have an assistant at these types of shoots. But I saw part of this family last year for a session and they are very special and lovely people, and so on Mother’s Day, I met them at the Arboretum along with some of their family members who came in from out of town to try to get “just one” photo of everyone together. We got a few more photos…as many as kids ages 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 would let you steal. We squeezed about 20 minutes tops out of them, but we definitely accomplished one photo. Phew!
