There are two times of day that I shoot: early morning and early evening. The goal is to get the most flattering and the softer light. Sunlight between those hours can be intense and though wonderful for being outside to play, not so wonderful for being outside for photos.
So when I met with this family on the beach in the morning, I was hoping for some glorious, soft morning light. Instead it was bright. REALLY, really bright. The reflection from the water wasn’t helping.
That said, these ladies were troopers and we did our best to make it work. They were lovely to hang out with and brought their own form of sunshine in their personalities and spirits. We ended up having a nice quiet morning on the beach - which is hard to find around here - and the result was peaceful glowing.
