Little do their parents know, the morning of this session I woke up at 5 a.m. Not because I’m a morning person (I’m so not a morning person) but mostly because my brain decided it wasn’t sleepy anymore despite the fact that the rest of my body was snoozing contentedly. I quickly realized that it wasn’t a good day to wake up at 5 a.m. because in a little over 12 hours, I had a photo session that involved four kids under the age of 9. And being tired wasn’t an option.
But it all turned out just fine (due in large part to the giant Coke and bowl of multigrain pasta I downed 45 minutes before the session). These kids, each with such unique personalities - were awesome. All four of them. And that has everything to do with the fact that they have two easygoing parents who each have a great sense of humor. They made having four energetic, young kids look like a piece of cake. Every child should be so fortunate.
