Meet Jack. Our 7-week old Goldendoodle puppy. We picked him up yesterday and I do believe he may be the cutest little four legged ball of fluff that ever walked the earth. We’re in love.

And I know it seems like things have been quiet lately, but you will be seeing some new work soon. I have this phenomenon in my business where clients book in clusters. This has been the trend for the last five years. Can’t explain it, but I’ve got a bunch to show soon. Hang in there. Until then, just stare at this thing. I can’t take my eyes off him either.

April’s Promise

How does that quote go…”April is the promise that May is bound to keep?” Yes, I think that’s it. If this past April weekend is anything like what May is going to keep, I’m all for it. What a beautiful weekend in the orchard. What made it even more lovely were these two little people with great big personalities. We laughed, we told lots of stupid knock-knock jokes that made no sense to anyone but a 6-year-old, we tried really hard not to get grass and mud on our clothing and we pretty much succeeded. It was a good day. We should do it again some time.

Four half hour Mini-Session Openings for up to 4 people each session. Additional persons are $25 each.

$350 Total Includes: 10 high resolution digital images of your own to print anywhere and any how you want, 5 - 5×7 prints of your choice, 15% off any additional prints or products

Great for getting some updated photos of the kids, some nice updated photos of you and your spouse, or some early Mother’s Day pics of mom and the kids.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood…

I suddenly have an overwhelming desire to put on a cardigan and change my shoes.

It really WAS a beautiful day in the neighborhood for a mid-March pre-spring day. This weather is both wonderful and scary. I’m not really sure what to make of it. However, I am trying to make the best of it by being outside as much as possible. Yesterday I hung out with my beautiful neighbors. They moved in last year and we have been getting our baby fix with their 10-month-old daughter whenever we can. She is sooooo stinkin’ adorable. My girls are making long-range babysitting plans that should cover her parents for at least the next 10 years. Don’t worry, Mom and Dad, they know how to make a mean PB&J sandwich. I’ve trained them well.

Spring has sprung early this year, hasn’t it? I am ready to get back in the swing of things, and I think I’ll start it off with the cutest neighbor a photographer could ask for.

The schedule is now open and filling in. Grab a time slot while the dogwoods are blooming! It’s the prettiest time of the year.

Disaster Relief

As many of you know, our region was recently hit hard by tornadoes. My hometown of Marysville, IN, was eliminated. Completely. My heart aches through and through. My family was all safe, thankfully, but many of my friends lost everything. I visited the area yesterday to drop off supplies and I was able to tour a little bit of what was left of Chelsea, IN. Many of the hard hit areas are only letting residents through and are being protected by the National Guard. I cannot tell you how surreal it is to see the devastation of what once was. You do not realize how fragile life is until it is taken away.

Relief efforts are underway, and I want to just take a minute to inform you how you of how you can help.

Today, Sunday, March 4th, Crestwood Christian Church (my church) will be taking item donations after church (after noon) and from 4-7 p.m. in the church’s mission center building. These donations will be delivered to the New Washington, IN, fire department on Tuesday, March 6th, and to West Liberty, KY, on Thursday, March 8th. The donations that are being requested are:

Non-perishable food, clothing and shoes for all ages, trash bags, toys, toiletries, dog and cat food, pillows and blankets, cold weather attire, diapers and formula, first aid supplies and plastic tubs for storage. I cannot stress how much is needed. Thirty-eight people lost their lives in these storms and thousands are without homes.

Most importantly, prayers are in urgent need.
